Tanjung Pura – Kalapas Kelas IIA Langkat Kanwil Kemenkumham Sumut Parlindungan Siregar membuka kegiatan Program Rehabilitasi Sosial, Rabu (28/2/2024). Kegiatan Tahap I Tahun 2024 yang digelar di blok hunian lapas itu, mengusung tema ‘Modalitas Therapeutic Community’.
Kakanwil Kemenkumham Sumut yang diwakili Kabid Pelayanan Tahanan, Kesehatan, Rehabilitasi, Pengelolaan Benda Sitaan, Barang Rampasan Negara, dan Keamanan Kriston Napitupulu juga hadir di sana.
Para Pejabat Struktural dan Petugas Lapas Narkotika Langkat, BNNK Langkat, Ketua Yayasan Medan Plus, Konselor serta 140 orang warga binaan yang siap menjalani program rehabilitasi sosial turut memeriahkan kegiatan itu.
Kasi Binadik Lapas Narkotika Kelas IIA Langkat Ibnu Taqwim dalam laporan menyampaikan, 140 orang warga binaan selama 6 bulan akan menjalani rehabilitasi sosial. Dimana, kegaitannya sendiri dimulai sejak Februari 2024, hingga Agustus mendatang.
Dalam sambutannya, Parlindungan berharap, agar warga binaan mengikuti kegiatan itu dengan sebaik-baiknya.
“Tunjukkan kalau kalian adalah manusia yang harapannya tidak terhenti sampai disini. Namun kalian masih memiliki mimpi besar setelah bebas dan kembali berkumpul dengan keluarga nanti. Ikuti dengan semangat. Yakinlah, siapa yang benar-benar serius mengikuti rehabilitasi ini, maka akan berdampak baik bagi hidup kalian,” ujarnya.
Sementara itu, Kriston Napitupulu menegaskan, tujuan dilakukan rehabilitasi tersebut adalah dalam rangka pemulihan kualitas hidup warga binaan. Oleh karenanya, kepada warga binaan yang diberikan kesempatan mengikuti program, agar memanfaatkan kesempatan yang sangat berharga itu dengan baik dan jangan disia-siakan.
“Yakinlah jika dimulai dengan tekad dan niat ingin berubah, maka pemulihan kualitas hidup pasti akan terwujud. Ketika bebas nanti, akan dapat memberikan manfaat untuk masyarakat, bangsa dan agama. Serta yang paling utama adalah, menghidupkan kembali harapan besar dari keluarga, bahwa anda sekalian benar-benar dapat diterima kembali di masyarakat,” tegasnya.
Kegiatan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penandatanganan Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) antara Kalapas dengan Yayasan Medan Plus serta pemberian tanda peserta kepada perwakilan warga binaan. (Ahmad)
