JAMBI – Sedih, emosi dan tak tau apa yang harus dilakukan lagi. Inilah yang kini dirasakan puluhan ribu sopir pengangkut batu bara di Provinsi Jambi saat ini.
Keluhan ini disampaikan para sopir truk pengangkut batu bara usai Gubernur Jambi, Al Haris, melarang truk pengangkut batu bara melintas di sejumlah ruas jalan umum atau jalan nasional.
Memikirkan nasib istri dan anak mereka yang nyaris tidak bisa lagi terpenuhi kebutuhan sehari-harinya, membuat para sopir hanya bisa pasrah dengan kondisi keadaan saat ini.
Bukan karena mereka tidak memiliki pekerjaan, tapi kini nasib sopir pengangkut batu bara, yang ditaksir sebanyak 65 ribuan itu, ada di tangan gubernur.
Dengan tidak diperbolehkan melintas oleh gubernur, membuat para sopir truk batu bara tidak bisa lagi menafkahi keluarga mereka.
“Sikap Gubernur yang tidak lagi memperbolehkan kami melintas di jalan umum, sama saja menghilangkan pekerjaan kami, para sopir,” ungkap Parulian Simanjuntak bersama sopir lainnya.
Menurut para sopir, sikap Gubernur Jambi, Al Haris, yang terkesan cuek dan tidak memperdulikan nasib para sopir pengangkut batu bara membuat mereka terus berjuang dengan melakukan aksi demonstrasi.
“Kami akan terus memperjuangkan nasib kami dan keluarga. Kami berharap pemerintah pusat dalam hal ini Kementrian Dalam Negeri dan Kementrian KUPR pusat dapat secepatnya menyelesaikan permasalahan kami ini,” harapnya.
Sementara itu, Gubernur Jambi Al Haris saat bertemu para sopir pada 7 Januari 2024 lalu mengungkapkan, seandainya semua pengusaha batu bara yang ada di Jambi masing-masing mau iuran Rp5-10 miliar, maka akan terbangun jalur khusus pengangkut batubara.
Ia mengatakan, jika 51 perusahaan batu bara yang beroperasi di provinsi Jambi mau iuran Rp10 miliar saja satu perusahaan, maka akan terkumpul dana sekitar Rp510 miliar dan itu sudah cukup untuk membangun jalur batu bara di Provinsi Jambi.
“Bikin baelah jalan itu ke sungai, tetap kita ngangkut pakai sopir, pakai mobil, lancar lagi. Sama saja sebenarnya. Kalau dari perusahaan ke sungai, sopir bisa angkut 2-3 kali sehari. Dapat duit juga,” kata Al Haris, seperti dilansir Jambi One.
Al Hari mengatakan, menutup hauling (pengangkutan batu bara) melalui jalan nasional bukanlah keinginannya. Akan tetapi hal tersebut harus dilakukan untuk memberikan efek jera kepada para pengusaha batubara di Jambi.
“Kalau seandainya perusahaan itu mau iuran, nggak mungkin mereka tidak ada Rp5-10 miliar. Kompak mereka itu, kalau ada 40 perusahaan saja, terkumpul juga Rp400 miliar, cukup itu, sudah panjang dapatnya jalan itu,” rincinya.
Sayangnya, usulan Gubernur Jambi Al Haris agar perusahaan batu bara mau mengeluarkan uang sebesar Rp5-10 miliar dinilai tidak masuk akal dan mencekik leher para pengusaha tambang.
Usulan ini justru memunculkan asumsi-asumsi lain di kalangan pengusaha dan sopir, terkait alasan Gubernur Jambi meminta para pengusaha mengeluarkan anggaran Rp5-10 miliar untuk jalan khusus angkutan batu bara. (Red)
