Langkat – PT Hutama Karya (HK) akan segera mengaktifkan Jalan Tol Binjai – Langsa Seksi Kuala Bingai – Tanjung Pura tanpa tarif alias gratis, Senin (29/01/2024) mendatang. Pengoperasian, ruas tol sepanjang 19 kilometer itu, akan dimulai pukul 07.00 WIB.
Pengoperasiannya, menyambung koneksi seksi Binjia – Stabat sepanjang 12,3 kilometer, yang telah beroperasi sejak Februari 2022. Serta menyambung seksi Stabat – Kuala Bingai sejank September 2022 sepanjang 7,55 kilometer.
Ecevutive Vice President (EVP) Sekretaris Perusahaan PT HK Tjahjo Purnomo mengatakan, pengoperasian tersebut menyusul terbitnya Sertifikat Laik Operasi (SLO), pada 27 Desember 2023 lalu.
Selain itu, juga telah dikeluarkan Keputusan Menteri (Kepmen) Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) Nomor 15/KPTS/M/2024 Tentang Penetapan Pengoperasian Jalan Tol Binjai – Langsa Seksi Kuala Bingai – Tanung Pura.
“Sebelumnya, seksi tol ini telah diuji coba terlebih dahulu pada Libur Nataru lalu dengan dioperasikan secara fungsional sejak selama lebih dari dua pekan mulai dari tanggal 23 Desember 2023 hingga 10 Januari 2024 dan telah dilalui sebanyak lebih dari 100 Ribu kendaraan dengan lancar serta nihil kecelakaan,” tutur Tjahjo, Kamis (18/01/2024) sore.
Tjahjo menambahkan, melihat antusiasme masyarakat yang tinggi pada fungsional Nataru lalu, serta pemangkasan waktu tempuh yang signifikan, PT Hutama Karya telah siap mengoperasikan jalan tol ini dari sisi fasilitas maupun kesiapan petugas di lapangan.
“Sebanyak 62 personil siaga hanya untuk seksi ini. Jika digabung dengan petugas dari Binjai hingga Kuala Bingai totalnya mencapai 162 personil siaga, yang terdiri dari petugas layanan operasi, derek, ambulan, dan patroli,” ujar Tjahjo.
Selama masa beroperasi tanpa tarif, kata Tjahjo, PT Hutama Karya akan melakukan sosialisasi secara masif mengenai aturan berkendara di jalan tol. Walaupun masyarakat sekitar telah banyak mempelajari aturannya.
“Kami mengimbau pengguna jalan untuk mematuhi tata tertib yang berlaku di jalan tol saat melintas. Diantaranya yakni, berkendara dengan kecepatan maksimal 80 km/jam, menjaga jarak aman dengan kendaraan didepan minimal 10-20 meter. Serta pastikan kendaraan tidak melebihi muatan,” kata Tjahjo.
