Stabat – M Darwis Sinulingga terpilih menjadi Ketua Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia (PWI) Kabupaten Langkat Periode 2023 – 2026. Ia menyelisihi satu suara dari Misno, yang juga ikut berkomperisi dalam koferensi yang digelar di Hotel Grand Stabat, (12/12/2023) pagi.
Dari 28 daftar pemilih tetap (DPT) yang sudah ditentukan oleh PWI Pusat, 1 suara atas nama Sucipto abstain. Jurnalis yang berkarya di Harian Mimbar Umum itu tidak hadir dalam konferensi tersebut. Jadi, tinggal lah 27 DPT yang memberikan hak suaranya dalam kenferensi yang dihadiri oleh Ketua dan segenap pegurus PWI Sumut itu.
Dari total DPT tersebut, akhirnya Darwis memperoleh 14 suara. Sementara Misno, nyaris menyamai perolehan suara Darwis dengan total 13 suara. “Ini bukan kemenangan saya, tapi ini merupakan kemenangan PWI Langkat. Mari bersama kita besarkan PWI Langkat ini,” kata pria yang biasa disapa Yong itu.
Pada kesempatan itu, Ketua PWI Suamut H Farianda Putra Sinik SE menegaskan, agar seluruh pengurus dan anggota PWI Langkat tetap solid. Kembangkan PWI Langkat di seluruh wialyah Negeri Bertuah dengan baik.
“Jangan terkotak – kotak. Semua anggota harus solid. Jangan pilihannya gak menang, terus merasa bukan orangnya pemimpin yang terpilih. Bagi yang pilihannya menang, rangkul rekan – rekan yang lain. Terus kembangkan PWI di Kabupaten Langkat ini,” tutur Farianda.
Selain Ketuan dan Pengurus PWI Sumut, turut hadir dalam kenferensi tersebut Plt Bupati Langkat H Syah Afandin SH, Forkopimda dan jajaran pejabat di Kabupaten Langkat dan tamu undangan lainnya. (Ahmad)
